Therapy Manager- OT or Physiotherapist

The Clinical Specialist will be responsible for managing and coordinating high quality therapy service delivery and resources within the unit.

To lead therapists and ensure safe high quality therapy service delivery in the rehabilitation unit.

Plan, coordinate and facilitate the rehabilitation service delivery with the relevant rehabilitation team members to achieve clinical and functional outcomes for inpatients in the unit.

Ensure competence of staff, determine and drive criteria for effective professional socialization, create an environment conducive to learning, and provide feedback to relevant stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:

• A post graduate qualification in Management or relevant Masters Degree would be advantageous.
• Registration with the Health Professional Council as a therapist.
• In good standing with HPCSA and all applicable health care legislations.
• Compulsory BLS certification.
• Ensure clinical expertise within therapy (35 years of clinical experience in an acute hospital).
• Experience in managing a unit would be an advantage.
