This is a pivotal clinical leadership role for a qualified Theatre Nurse with strong people management experience. If you’re confident managing teams, ensuring operational efficiency, and delivering high-quality patient outcomes in a theatre setting, this is your opportunity to lead with impact.

About the Role

You’ll oversee the daily operations of a high-performing theatre unit within a respected healthcare facility. From clinical governance and staff leadership to compliance and change management, your role is central to ensuring optimal theatre performance and patient care.

What You’ll Do

Lead a multidisciplinary theatre team to deliver safe and effective surgical care

Ensure clinical competence across the unit in line with best practice and regulatory standards

Manage theatre schedules, staffing, and resources for efficiency and patient safety

Support continuous improvement, training, and mentorship of staff

Collaborate with medical and nursing teams across departments

Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and labour legislation

Participate in operational planning, budgeting, and performance reporting

What You Bring

Degree / Diploma in Nursing with a Theatre Nursing Science qualification (essential)

Minimum 5 years’ post-basic experience in theatre nursing

Proven leadership and team management experience in a healthcare setting

SANC registration (current)

Basic knowledge of labour legislation, financial principles, and change management

Computer proficiency (MS Office)

Driver’s license and own transport

Postgraduate qualification in Management or Nursing Education (advantageous)
