Job summary

Samancor Chrome Ltd. seeks a maintenance reliability engineer to lead RCFA investigations and improve asset capability through data analysis and safe practices.

You will develop maintenance plans, review task lists, monitor recurrence of failures, and log improvements in SAP PM with a focus on cost-risk-benefit and SHEQ compliance.

The role requires NQF6/National Diploma or engineering degree, 4 years in heavy industry, and RCFA/condition monitoring experience; supervisor training is a plus.

Qualifications

• National Diploma (NQF 6) or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• 4 years' experience at C Upper level.
• Maintenance or reliability engineering experience in heavy industry, mining, processing or manufacturing.
• Knowledge of the SAP Planned Maintenance System.
• Experience in RCFA, maintenance planning, condition monitoring, equipment analysis and SAP PM is advantageous.
• Supervisor training certificate advantageous

• Track condition-monitoring results.
• Analyse equipment failure history.
• Log equipment issues for action.
• Develop RCA problem statements and business cases.
• Share company-wide lessons via the intranet and SAP history.
• Share maintenance and technology developments.
• Develop and enforce maintenance standards.
• Apply current NDT and condition-monitoring techniques.
• Advise on reliable, maintainable equipment design.
• Sustain FLAC improvements.

Minimum Requirements
