A leading company in the financial services sector is looking for an intermediate Business Tester in Johannesburg. The role involves analyzing business requirements, executing various testing phases, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Ideal candidates will have a relevant university degree and several years of experience in UAT and financial services.
Our client based in Waterfall requires a Business Tester(intermediate).
Responsibilities:
Review and analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and process flows to develop test cases and scenarios.
Design, document, and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT), system testing, and regression testing.
Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, and Product Owners to clarify requirements and expected outcomes.
Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution and re-testing.
Validate that business rules and workflows are correctly implemented in the delivered solution.
Provide feedback on usability, user experience, and potential process improvements.
Coordinate, oversee and participate in planning and status meetings, providing updates on test progress and quality metrics.
Assist in the preparation of test data and test environments.
Support the business during go-live activities and post-deployment validation.
Minimum requirements:
Financial Services experience with a relevant University degree
4-5 years Leadership/management experience
4- 5 years LISP platforms experience or similar.
In depth knowledge of different types of operational risks, systems and processes
Strong understanding of risk/compliance policies and processes for a financial service business
Proven experience in business or UAT testing within software development or digital transformation projects.
Strong understanding of business process modelling and requirement traceability.
Experience with test case management tools (e.g., Jira).
Ability to interpret complex requirements and convert them into actionable test scenarios.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
