• Install and wire strain gauges and a variety of sensors.

Job Opportunity : Test and Measurement Technician

Travel : Ad hoc travel to project sites across South Africa

Salary : R250,000 – R400,000 per annum (based on experience)

Are you a hands-on technician with a passion for precision engineering and real-world testing? Do you have a solid grounding in mechanical and electrical systems and enjoy building, testing, and refining solutions?

We’re looking for a Test and Measurement Technician to join our dynamic research and development environment.

Minimum Requirements :

• Qualified Fitter & Turner or Mechatronics Technician
• Ideally aged 25–30 , with experience in automation, maintenance, or manufacturing
• Strong theoretical knowledge in both mechanical and electrical engineering
• Skilled in :

Wiring , mechanical fitting , machining , and welding

• Ensuring precision and neat workmanship in all tasks
• Proficient in SolidWorks or similar mechanical design software
• Self-confident, client-facing personality with good interpersonal skills
• Willingness to work long hours when project demands require.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design and build servo-hydraulic test rigs for structural experiments
• Execute and monitor structural fatigue testing
• Conduct vibration measurements and condition monitoring
• Install and wire strain gauges and a variety of sensors
• Maintain servo-hydraulic systems and infrastructure
• Design and fabricate mechanical jigs and fixtures for testing applications
