Job description

MAIN PURPOSE:

The CIO Software Test Team is looking for a Test Analyst to join our high performing team. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for minimising the risk of software failures and the quality assurance of the developed solutions. The individual must be able to work with different teams and adapt to change well. The role requires an individual with strong analytical skill and attention to detail.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyse test requirements and generate test scenarios
• Design, co-ordinate and execute testing in collaboration with the project team
• Ensure comprehensive solution validation and verification against approved business requirements
• Plan, schedule and prioritise tests to meet the testing timelines
• Prepare and maintain test environments, including the creation of appropriate test data
• Maintain and enhance the test case repository
• Provide daily test reports to the relevant stakeholders
• Track and report defects
• Ensure that risks have appropriate mitigation strategies and are escalated where necessary
• Seek to continuously improve software quality, testing tools, processes, and testing environments

Requirements

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

• Experience working in the Financial Service Industry is essential
• Sound understanding of software testing approaches and methodologies
• Strong analytical, technical, and troubleshooting skills
• Sound understanding of the SDLC

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

• Degree or IT Diploma
• ISTQB Certification would be advantageous

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• 1 – 2 years experiences as a Test Analyst

Functional knowledge of the following testing tools:

• Xray; ALM (QC)

• 1 – 2 years Mobile Testing Experience
• Experience in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies

Functional knowledge of key WFS Systems such as:

• C2; Vision; CAMs; and OM4

• At least 3 years’ experience working on above systems

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Be prepared to put in extra hours at project and release dates by exception (may include late nights and weekends)
• Be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards.
