Senior Test Analyst

Based: Sandton, JHB

As a Test Analyst, you will be responsible for developing and executing testing procedures for a suite of programs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, create test cases, perform system validations, and ensure that our software meets high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement test plans, procedures, and scripts.
2. Execute test activities and coordinate with business analysts and developers.
3. Ensure compliance with governance, policies, and industry standards.
4. Conduct API testing and work with automation frameworks such as Selenium & Octane.
5. Use test management tools like JIRA and write Gherkin scripts.
6. Identify and document defects, ensuring timely resolution.
7. Provide insights and suggestions for improving testing processes.
8. Stay updated on industry best practices and risk management approaches.

Qualifications & Experience

1. Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Computer Science, Information Science, or equivalent.
2. 3-5 years in a similar environment (1-2 years at a junior specialist level).

Skills & Knowledge

1. Strong experience in test automation & test management tools.
2. Banking experience in payments, treasury, and ISO standards.
3. Proficiency in API testing & task management systems (e.g., JIRA).
4. Ability to write Gherkin scripts for behavior-driven development.
5. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
