Reporting to: Campus Business Development Manager, Sales Team Lead & National Business Development Manager
Salary: Basic salary, Petrol card for business related travel, Cell phone, Laptop, Commission & Incentives
Hours: 45 hours, Full Time, Normal Hours 08:00 am to 16:30 pm, Min two Saturdays per month 09:00 am to 13:00 pm or as required for school events / campus events
Location: At the allocated CTU Campus
Purpose of the position
Tertiary Education Consultants promote the CTU Brand; build relationships with TOP FEEDER schools as specified and confirmed by Head Office. They generate a marketing database by presenting to Grade 8 to 12 learners at various schools and events allocated to their region. They create promotional events and functions on campus to generate sales and are required to create a strong presence at the various schools and the surrounding campus region. The role involves marketing various school solutions to build strong relations with schools.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Build relationships with key people at schools, including teachers, principals, parents, and prospective students.
- Schedule and complete presentations to Grade 11 and 12 learners.
- Create opportunities for first contact with learners from Grade 8 to 10.
- Build relationships with funding and student loan organizations.
- Address customer concerns and issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Database / lead generation.
- Book school appointments with TOP FEEDER schools and present to Grade 11 and 12 learners, extending to earlier grades where necessary.
- Generate and manage data collection against a given target.
- Ensure quick delivery of information cards to the campus after presentations to ensure quick feedback to leads.
- Create events and opportunities that will ensure high lead conversion.
- Develop a customer service program on campus to ensure customer retention and minimize cancellations.
- Work closely with the campus team, student advisors, and facilitators to ensure maximum attendance at events that will secure enrollments.
- Drive brand loyalty and execute marketing plans.
- Book appointments with schools, teachers, prospects, and their parents.
- Liaise with student advisors as required for consultations and events.
- Participate in the recruitment of students for the next year intake.
- Contact the career database for mining and outreach.
- Schedule appointments according to school and campus targets.
- Maintain contact with the database for events.
- Work against strict activity and financial targets.
- Keep in touch with registered prospects monthly.
- Register and enroll students monthly/quarterly against given targets.
- Involved in awareness campaigns for the allocated region.
- Attend and organize CTU CAMPUS events such as Open Days and Open Weeks.
- Represent CTU branding and awareness when required, alongside campus and senior management.
- Market various school solutions (e.g., teacher training) to build sound school relations.
- Attend trade shows and events to promote products.
- Maintain overall awareness and presence at schools, events, and in the region.
- Devise marketing campaigns to increase product awareness and sales.
- Plan, organize, and execute marketing and sales programs.
- Serve as a point person for outside, inside, and partner sales teams.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to create programs.
- Support company initiatives, provide actionable feedback, and share best practices.
- Generate leads and secure sales through effective school relations.
- Plan roadshows and enrollment drives at various distant locations.
- Communicate product/service value effectively to customers.
- Monitor industry trends, competition, and new opportunities.
- Develop field-marketing plans for improving sales and profitability.
- Assist in planning and scheduling marketing campaigns, tradeshows, and industry meetings.
- Recommend innovative marketing approaches for revenue growth.
- Provide sales support and guidance for product positioning.
- Regularly evaluate field-marketing programs for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Be energetic, hardworking, and able to communicate well with teachers, prospective students, current students, and sponsors.
- Research local competitors.
- Maintain records of marketing activities and expenditures.
- Recommend marketing techniques based on changing business demands.

The Tertiary Education Consultant is highly presentable and fluent in more than one language as required for the relevant region. They are positive, influential individuals who are always on time, well-prepared, and knowledgeable sources of information for prospective clients. They have high standards and communicate professionally. The Tertiary Education Consultant serves as a CTU brand ambassador and should always represent the image set by the Executive management team.
Experience
- Experience in academic advising or related careers in post-secondary education is preferred.
