The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, preferably in the retail pharmacy environment, and good relationships with pharmacies. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Promoting Products and Implementing Sales / Marketing Strategies
  • Achieve and exceed set sales targets and growth objectives for the product basket(s) within the territory as per company requirements set monthly, quarterly, and annually.
  • Effective implementation and execution of set marketing strategies.
  • Ensure prudent, responsible, and appropriate utilization of the Point of Sale (POS) provided cyclically to support marketing strategies.
  • Effective implementation of set KA channel and national sales strategies.
  • Manage the sales territory through effective planning, organizing, and flawless execution on targeted customers of the commercial strategies.
  • Utilize sales data tools to conduct territory, customer, and product analysis to identify gaps and opportunities to drive sales and market share gains.
  • Maintain targeted database on Repwise and achieve the expected call rates, frequency, and coverage requirements.
  • Keep detailed records of customer interactions on Repwise, including stock counts, product details, queries, and follow-up notes.
  • Execute and log Product Trainings (including Training Registers) for pharmacists and staff on Pharma Dynamics products, as per set requirements.
  • Submit monthly planners and reports to track customer engagement, sales, channel strategies, and marketing plans.
  • Implement business reviews with key customers to discuss sales performance, growth opportunities, and product range expansion.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with pharmacists and relevant stakeholders.
  • Drive pharmacy front shop business through merchandising and product training.
  • Arrange appointments with pharmacists, medical professionals, and stakeholders to promote Pharma Dynamics products.
  • Work closely with Regional Sales Manager on business opportunities within the territory.
  • Monitor competitor activities and products.
  • Provide timely feedback on marketing strategies and field intelligence to internal stakeholders.
  • Stay informed of industry developments and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Organize functions, workshops, and training sessions for the territory.
  • Ensure compliance with the Marketing Code Authority principles.
  • Attend external functions, conferences, and company meetings as required.
  • Complete country and day trips as per territory needs.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and medical trials, and discuss relevant data with health professionals.
  • Manage and track expense budgets for the role and territory.
  • Implement commercial agreements with sound business returns.
  • Adhere to operational SOPs and company policies and procedures.
  • Handle enquiries and complaints professionally and promptly.
  • Collaborate with colleagues for territory synergy and share best practices.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to maximize product opportunities and growth.
Requirements
PRE-REQUISITES

Education :

  • Preferred: Business Degree and/or appropriate industry-related tertiary qualification and/or matric with industry-appropriate sales and business diploma.

Experience :

  • Proven track record of successful sales and customer management skills.
  • Experience working in the retail pharmacy environment related to generics/OTC and front shop is preferred.
  • Strong existing relationships with key pharmacies, both independent and corporate, in the territory would be advantageous.
  • Experience in Sales / Retail / Business Development roles.
