Job Opportunity: Territory Manager - Gauteng Area, South Africa

Job Summary: Provide a direct interface with veterinary professionals at the practice level to ensure the highest levels of endorsement for Hills brands and with specialist pet retail operators at store level to ensure optimal promotion of Hills 6Ps.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:

  1. Territory Management: Achieve sales targets, plan and execute call strategies, maintain records, review store/clinic potential annually, identify and secure new stores/clinics, and represent Hills at various meetings and events.
  2. Business Development: Develop deep knowledge of customer businesses, build networks with decision-makers, provide professional support through seminars and training, identify opportunities, and develop technical and business propositions to ensure brand endorsement and distribution.
  3. Commercial Activities: Increase awareness, distribution, visibility, and endorsement of Hills products, support new product acceptance, establish merchandising standards, and recruit new users through trial programs and promotions.
  4. Planning and Review: Develop annual business plans, conduct quarterly reviews with key stakeholders, and adjust strategies accordingly.
  5. Financial Management: Monitor territory objectives, manage budgets, and ensure timely submission of expenses and purchase orders.

Qualifications: Veterinary Nursing Diploma or similar recommended, previous sales experience in veterinary, FMCG, pharmaceutical, or nutrition sectors preferred, proficiency in Google Suite, valid driver’s license.
