Job description

Leading pharmaceutical organization is looking for an experienced Tender Manager from the pharmaceutical industry. This position is based in Johannesburg.

Position Info: Purpose of the Role

To enable the company to tender effectively for government business, maintain price files efficiently, and apply for Single Exit Price increases per Government Notices. Responsible for managing fee contracts and processing payments related to these contracts.

Qualifications and Experience Required
  • BCom or similar qualification
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience is essential
  • Knowledge of the market with an understanding of the public health environment is advantageous
  • Experience in public sector territory management is advantageous
  • Experience in managing teams
  • Valid, unendorsed South African Driver’s license
Duties
  • Build and maintain key partnerships with senior DoH managers, depot managers, and stakeholders in the public health sector
  • Develop methods to improve customer service levels
  • Create public sector dashboards aligned with DoH reporting requirements
  • Plan and utilize company resources effectively to maximize opportunities before competitors
  • Represent and uphold the company’s values during interactions with customers
  • Participate in key customer events at national, provincial, and district levels
  • Manage team activities and monitor planners for effective documentation
  • Provide constructive customer problem solving
  • Manage the department’s budget to ensure maximum ROI
