Job description

Leading pharmaceutical organisation is looking for an experienced Tender Manager from the pharmaceutical industry.

This position is based in Johannesburg.

Purpose of the Role

To enable the company to tender effectively for government business, to maintain price files effectively and efficiently, as well as to apply for Single Exit Price increases per Government Notices.

To manage fee contracts and process payments against these contracts.

Qualifications and Experience Required
  • BCom or similar qualification
  • 5 Years Tender Management experience
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience is essential
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical market with an understanding of the public health environment is advantageous
  • Experience in effective public sector territory management is advantageous
  • Experience in managing teams
  • Computer Literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) at an intermediate level is essential
  • Must have a valid, unendorsed South African Driver's license
Duties
  • Creating and maintaining key partnerships with senior DoH managers, depot managers, and key stakeholders in the public health sector
  • Proactively finding and developing methods to improve customer service levels
  • Building public sector dashboards aligned with DoH reporting requirements
  • Planning and utilizing company resources efficiently to maximize opportunities before competitors
  • Representing and embodying the company's values during interactions with customers
  • Representing the company at key customer events nationally, provincially, and at district level
  • Managing the team's activities
  • Monitoring team planners to ensure effective documentation
  • Providing effective customer problem solving
  • Managing the allocated budget to deliver maximum ROI
