Purpose of the RoleReporting to the National Procurement Manager and based at the Shared Service Centre in Roodepoort, the Tender, Contracts and Supplier Relationship Manager is responsible for managing the end-to-end tender process, contract administration, and supplier relationships across the company and its subsidiaries. This role ensures compliance with procurement policies, drives efficient tender planning and execution, and fosters strong partnerships with key suppliers to support the company’s strategic sourcing objectives within the mining and manufacturing sectors.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing and rolling out of a standardised tender process and system throughout the entire company and subsidiaries for purchases of Goods above R500k and recurring Services for longer than 12 months or R100k per month.
- Tender planning, communication and meetings – internally and externally
- Contract management of all key supplier contracts and preferred suppliers
- Supplier Relationship Management
- Executing procurement policy and implementing plans as directed by National Procurement Manager
- Monitoring and evaluating Tender and Contracts Specialist activity to ensure internal compliance with company policies and procedures and internal customer relationships compliance.
Qualifications, competencies, knowledge and experience required:- B degree in Commercial / Business / Supply Chain / Procurement or equivalent diploma (3 years minimum)
- CIPS qualification / membership or equivalent e.g. SAPICS will be advantageous.
- At least 7 years working experience in a procuring for the mining/manufacturing environment with 2 years in a procurement managerial position.
- Experience in Managing Tender and Contracts Management processes and Supplier Relationship Management.
- Knowledge of B-BBEE and Mining Charter Scorecards
- Knowledge of the industry in which the various Business Units operates (mining/manufacturing)
- Knowledge of SAP (MM, FI and PM) and advanced Excel knowledge
- Knowledge of SLAs, Contract Management, Supplier Relationship Management, Tender Management
