Job description

Monitor and manage local development of critical parts at suppliers.

Ensure supplier readiness for corporate milestones (PEP) and vehicle builds.

Oversee on-time submission of sample parts with full legal and technical documentation.

Conduct early planning and frequent supplier site visits.

Collaborate with suppliers and toolmakers to:

  1. Agree on project timelines.
  2. Set secondary project milestones.
  3. Provide consulting on tooling, facility design, and manufacturing processes.
  4. Reduce troubleshooting needs before and after Start of Production.

Possible Tasks within this Role:

  1. Ensure suppliers meet Group's timing, quality, and capacity requirements.
  2. Validate functionality of supplier tooling and equipment.
  3. Maintain clear and timely communication of issues and progress:
    1. Internally across Group departments.
    2. Directly with suppliers.

Qualification Requirements:

Technical Degree / Diploma in:

  1. Mechanical Engineering
  2. Electrical Engineering
  3. Mechatronics
  4. Polymer Engineering

Experience Needed:

  1. Minimum 5 years in:
    1. Plastics or injection moulding technologies.
    2. Manufacturing processes related to critical parts.
  2. Experience in:
    1. Project management.
    2. Strong project management abilities.
    3. Technical knowledge and ability to read technical drawings.
    4. Negotiation and problem-solving skills.
    5. High computer literacy (MS Office).
    6. Customer interface and conflict resolution skills.
