Job summary

Silvertree Brands' UCOOK Cavendish shop is hiring a Shop Assistant for a 4-month temporary contract. You will welcome customers, identify needs and answer questions about our frozen meals and services.

Responsibilities include upselling, processing transactions, stock checks, end-of-day reconciliations, and maintaining a clean, safe shop environment.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years retail experience, strong English communication, basic computer skills, and reliable transport.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years Retail and Customer experience.
• Communicate effectively in English.
• Matric or NQF equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Uphold Company brand and standards at all times.
• Maximise Shop sales targets by upselling and encouraging repeat business.
• Sell our frozen meals, know the range well, and build repeat sales.
• Inform customers about discounts and offers.
• Manage till and card machine reconciliation; end-of-day tasks.
• Open/close shop as keyholder and secure premises.
