Role Purpose:To plan, design, and implement material handling systems, transport, packaging, and logistics processes that ensure optimal material flow from source to production. This includes supporting production, parts & accessories (P&A), localisation, and export projects, while managing logistics contracts to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Temp +/- 1 year contractKey Responsibilities:- Develop detailed logistics material flow concepts and layouts
- Design and procure logistics facilities (e.g. pallets, racking, packaging)
- Coordinate and monitor logistics projects through detailed planning
- Prepare specifications, request supplier quotes, negotiate costs
- Justify and manage capital expenditure and purchase requisitions
- Oversee trials, acceptance, and handover of logistics facilities
- Develop packaging specifications and update logistics contracts
- Conduct and lead meetings with stakeholders
Qualifications Required:- National Diploma or Degree in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or Logistics
Experience:- Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Automotive industry experience is advantageous
Essential Skills & Attributes:- Strong project management and problem-solving skills
- Independent, self-motivated, and resilient under pressure
- Effective communicator (written and verbal)
- Ability to read and produce 3D CAD drawings
- Advanced Excel and full MS Office proficiency
