Job Description
- Optimi is seeking a proactive and professional Legal Administrator to join our Legal Team. The ideal candidate should be highly organised, self-motivated, and capable of working independently while meeting tight deadlines. They must have strong attention to detail, a commitment to confidentiality, and be able to communicate effectively across departments.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Paralegal qualification
- LLB qualification (advantageous)
- 2–3 years post-qualification experience in a reputable law firm and / or corporate legal environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Ability to work independently and handle confidential information with discretion
Duties
- Organise, maintain, and archive legal documents both digitally and physically.
- Ensure information is backed up and stored in accordance with company procedures.
- Provide timely access upon request.
- Assist with audit preparation.
- Compile necessary documentation and maintain accurate B-BBEE records.
- Manage the ticketing system, track queries, and ensure effective stakeholder updates and resolutions.
- Draft and review contracts and NDAs.
- Liaise with departments to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Support tracking and documentation of compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Serve as the liaison for legal queries, ensuring clear and effective communication across teams.
- Provide legal research, administrative assistance, and general support to the legal team.
