The ideal candidate should be highly organised, self-motivated, and capable of working independently while meeting tight deadlines. They must have strong attention to detail, a commitment to confidentiality, and be able to communicate effectively across departments.
Requirements
  • Grade 12
  • Paralegal qualification
  • LLB qualification (advantageous)
  • 2–3 years post-qualification experience in a reputable law firm and / or corporate legal environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle confidential information with discretion
Duties
  • Organise, maintain, and archive legal documents both digitally and physically.
  • Ensure information is backed up and stored in accordance with company procedures.
  • Provide timely access upon request.
  • Assist with audit preparation.
  • Compile necessary documentation and maintain accurate B-BBEE records.
  • Manage the ticketing system, track queries, and ensure effective stakeholder updates and resolutions.
  • Draft and review contracts and NDAs.
  • Liaise with departments to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Support tracking and documentation of compliance with internal and external regulations.
  • Serve as the liaison for legal queries, ensuring clear and effective communication across teams.
  • Provide legal research, administrative assistance, and general support to the legal team.
