THREE (3) MONTHS TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT
JOB TITLE: Temperature Screener for Covid-19
REPORTING TO: Provincial Manager / Branch Managers

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To screen all visitors, contractors and employees before entering the property to help prevent the spread of infection for Corona Virus.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Participate in required COVID-19 training classes (screening, PPE, safe work practice and proper hygiene).
- Conduct daily screening check temperature of all employees, visitors, contractors, and clients using a no-contact digital thermometer.
- Observe all visitors, contractors, clients and employees for cold, flu and respiratory symptoms before entering the Seda’s premises.
- Record all daily screening results and temperature readings of each employee, visitor, contractor, clients who are on Seda’s premises.
- Submit consolidated monthly reports to the Compliance Officer.
- Enforce Personal Protective Equipment at facility entrances.
- Ensure that only 1/3 of the workforce is allowed entrance into the workplace and ensure compliance on social distancing.
- Report all employees and visitors who refuse to be screened and their temperature reading to be checked including to answer compulsory questions on the Covid-19 daily screening chart to the Compliance Officer.
- Deny access to ALL who do not want to comply with Covid-19 requirements and to observe all protocols for OHSA.
- Report promptly to the Compliance Officer any person who shows symptoms of Covid-19 and complete the necessary form to record such incident and ensure that such person is referred to the nearest testing site.
- Comply with all designated safety policies and procedures to include wearing company provided and required PPE in the work area.
- Keep track of stock level for masks, thermometer covers, and working conditions of thermometers, etc.
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
Matric (NQF level 4) plus Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or Nursing or Paramedic or any health-related certificate.
REQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE
1-3 years’ experience in a Medical healthcare/office/facility and clinical experience and/or Occupational Health and Safety environment will be an added advantage.
Ability to start immediately. Able to commit five (5) working days a week, Working Hours 8:00 am to 16:30 pm. Ability to work in outdoor environments. Expected to wear PPE (Goggles, gloves, respirator/face mask, Tyvek suit/coveralls/gown, Aprons - Potentially-As required).
