MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To screen all visitors, contractors, and employees before entering the property to help prevent the spread of infection for Corona Virus.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
  1. Participate in required COVID-19 training classes (screening, PPE, safe work practice, and proper hygiene).
  2. Conduct daily screening checks of temperature for all employees, visitors, contractors, and clients using a no-contact digital thermometer.
  3. Observe all visitors, contractors, clients, and employees for cold, flu, and respiratory symptoms before entering the premises.
  4. Record all daily screening results and temperature readings of each individual.
  5. Submit consolidated monthly reports to the Compliance Officer.
  6. Enforce Personal Protective Equipment at facility entrances.
  7. Ensure that only 1/3 of the workforce is allowed entry into the workplace and ensure compliance with social distancing.
  8. Report all employees and visitors who refuse to be screened, including their temperature readings and responses to COVID-19 screening questions, to the Compliance Officer.
  9. Deny access to all who do not comply with COVID-19 requirements and observe all OHSA protocols.
  10. Report promptly to the Compliance Officer any person showing symptoms of COVID-19 and complete necessary incident forms, referring such persons to the nearest testing site.
  11. Comply with all safety policies, including wearing company-provided PPE.
  12. Keep track of stock levels for masks, thermometer covers, and monitor the working condition of thermometers.
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Matric (NQF level 4) plus a Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, Nursing, Paramedic, or any health-related certificate.

REQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE

1-3 years’ experience in a healthcare, office, or facility environment, with clinical or Occupational Health and Safety experience considered an advantage. Ability to start immediately.

Working hours: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, five (5) days a week. Ability to work outdoors and wear PPE as required.
