Job description

Role Purpose:
To plan, design, and implement material handling, transport, packaging, and logistics systems that ensure efficient material flow supporting production, localisation, P&A, and export projects.

Temp Contract role for 2 years

The role also involves managing logistics contracts and driving continuous cost reduction and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and implement logistics projects from start to finish
• Design and improve logistics processes, warehouse layouts, and material handling systems
• Develop and troubleshoot packaging specifications for local and export parts
• Create racking, storage, pallet, and stillage solutions
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through process analysis
• Define user specs for logistics IT systems
• Monitor and document project progress and logistics standards
• Set and track KPIs aligned with project goals

Qualifications Required:

• National Diploma or Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering

Experience:

• 3–5 years in a logistics role within the automotive industry
• 2 years of project management experience
• Experience with CAD systems

Essential Skills:

• Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Analytical, planning, and administrative abilities
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Ability to work independently, under pressure, and within teams
