Qualifications

• 3-5 years of general accounting experience in a commercial environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS; familiarity with US GAAP & SOX reporting is a plus.
• Fluency in English required, French is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly reconciliations for accounts receivable, payable, fixed assets, leases, and inventory.
• Prepare and submit financial reports timely.

• Are you a detail-driven accounting professional with a passion for accuracy and financial integrity?
• NOV Africa is looking for a Temporary GL Accountant to join our Centralized Accounting Team and support our finance operations across the NOV Group of companies.
• Reporting to the Africa Support Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.

What You’ll Do :

• Perform monthly reconciliations for accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, leases, and inventory
• Prepare and ensure the timely submission of financial reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual)
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Apply IFRS and US GAAP principles while ensuring compliance with internal controls and statutory requirements
• Assist with tax and financial audits
• Provide financial analysis and collaborate with operational teams

What We’re Looking For :

• Education : Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
• Experience : 3-5 years of general accounting experience in a commercial environment
• Technical Skills : Strong knowledge of IFRS, familiarity with US GAAP & SOX reporting is a plus
• Detail-Oriented : Organized with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Team Player : Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Tech-Savvy : Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced with ERP systems
