Our client, a key infrastructure provider in the South African telecommunications sector, is actively seeking a highly skilled Telecoms Network Security Specialist to join their dedicated team in **Nelspruit, Mpumalanga, ZA**. This critical role involves safeguarding our extensive network infrastructure against cyber threats, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our services. You will be responsible for implementing and managing robust security measures, monitoring network traffic for anomalies, and responding effectively to security incidents. This position requires a strong understanding of telecommunications networks and advanced cybersecurity principles. We are looking for a proactive and vigilant security professional who is committed to maintaining the highest standards of network protection. This role is office-based, requiring your presence at our Nelspruit facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement, configure, and manage network security devices, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and access control systems.
• Monitor network security status, analyze security alerts, and investigate potential security breaches.
• Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and guidelines for the telecommunications network.
• Conduct regular security risk assessments and vulnerability scans.

Requirements
