Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Telecommunications Technician or similar role.
• Solid understanding of network cabling standards, fiber optics, and telecommunication equipment.
• Proficiency with testing equipment such as OTDRs, fusion splicers, and network analyzers.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing time effectively.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the Polokwane region.
• Relevant certifications in telecommunications or networking are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and test structured cabling systems, including copper and fiber optic networks.
• Troubleshoot and repair communication lines, equipment, and systems, identifying and resolving faults efficiently.
• Perform maintenance on telecommunications infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Read and interpret network diagrams, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Work at heights and in various environmental conditions as required by project demands.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and industry best practices during installation and maintenance activities in Polokwane.
