Placements24 is seeking a strategic Telecommunications Network Planner for a fully remote role with occasional support near Mahikeng. You will lead long-term capacity planning, design core to access networks, and evaluate new technologies to keep the infrastructure scalable and resilient.

The candidate should have 6+ years in telecom network planning, strong TCP/IP, MPLS, and BGP knowledge, and experience with network simulation tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in telecommunications network planning, design, or architecture.
• In-depth knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, MPLS, BGP) and transport technologies.
• Experience with network simulation and modeling tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with wireless (4G/5G) and fixed-line network planning.
