Job description

Squire Patton Boggs is one of the world's strongest integrated legal practices. With over 1,500 lawyers spanning more than 40 offices across four continents, the firm is renowned for its local connections and global influence, delivering comprehensive legal services across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia Pacific, and Latin America.

We are currently seeking a Technology Trainer to plan, develop and deliver IT training courses and blended learning programs for all the firm's technology including desktop applications, Intranet based programs, mobile devices and security. We are open to any US location in the Pacific or Mountain time zone.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following :

  • Delivering effective and professional training across a range of areas including new hire, continuous development of technology skills and training associated with technology projects to attorneys and staff.
  • Conducting virtual classroom training sessions to groups or on a one-to-one basis on the firm's technology, using a variety of media, such as virtual training, classroom-based and desk side coaching.
  • Developing and designing training courses for the technology used within the firm.
  • Aligning training to LTC4 Core Competencies and administering LTC4 Certifications to attorneys and staff.
  • Creating high quality supporting courseware including workbooks, manuals, quick reference guides and task sheets.
  • Maintaining accurate training records to assist with the identification of training needs and to support CPD and CLE compliance.
  • Performing training administration tasks such as dealing with course bookings and requests.
  • Assisting with the delivery of firm-wide Technology projects. This will include evaluating new software, identifying key learning points, establishing best practice for usage, floor support and coaching.
  • Learning and testing new Technology systems and training material for future projects or roll-outs.
  • Carrying out training needs analyses to identify gaps in learners' knowledge. Working on a consultative basis with individuals and teams to develop a program of training to address these requirements.
  • Participating in projects and meetings.
  • Developing eLearning courses and other online tools to provide short, self-help methods of supporting our users globally.

We require a degree from four-year accredited college or university, a minimum of 1 year of related training experience, or equivalent combination of education and require experience in delivering remote training sessions within a law firm or professional services environment.

The anticipated total compensation range offered for this role will be between $63,000 to $100,000 and represents the firm's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation. Actual compensation will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's relevant experience, performance, qualifications, degrees, and location, as well as the needs of the firm.
