The Bilingual Technology Trainer is responsible for providing broad training for the full technology portfolio.
While the trainer would not provide the detailed training for specific systems and competencies, the objective is to ensure that the PMUs across all parks are trained, understand and align to the full spectrum of Technology functions. This creates the foundation for alignment across the business for SOPs and ensures that specialized training can then be facilitated to those using specific systems.
Onboarding of new PMU staff members and refresher training for existing PMU staff members will ensure consistency.
Key Responsibilities
The training programs, collateral, engagement, coordination, presentation, and evaluations (assessments) should be provided in both French and English (depending on the audience/park receiving such). The trainer will ensure that training programs align with company goals and objectives.
Intended Audience
PMU members, HO staff, and regional staff.
Scope and Approach of the Technology Training
The Technology Trainer will spend 4-6 months receiving training at head office on IT, Conservation Technology, Systems, and Core Metrics from the BI team. The trainer will then develop a curriculum with each of the Technology Functional Managers to ensure that high-level training content (in both French and English) can be delivered to the PMUs, HO staff, and regional staff. Assessments will then be formulated to enable the trainer to receive feedback after each training intervention and assess attendees on their understanding after the training.
Training will initially be provided through a facilitator-led engagement at head office first, then park-by-park (with representation where possible by the regional members as well). This will follow a 10-day engagement per park (allowing several training sessions at each park to accommodate all PMU members). On the completion of training across all parks, new staff will be trained.
