Purpose of Position:

To perform routine and stat analyses of samples and maintain analysers/instruments in a clinical laboratory.

Requirements:

Bachelor of Health Sciences Medical Laboratory Science, HPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice Field

Required Experience:

Experience in pathology laboratory environment, Knowledge of Ampath QC procedures, instrumentation and methodologies, Meditech system, MS Windows, relevant pathology test procedures, Ampath Safety, Health and Environment management policy

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with Switchboard functions to correctly refer client requests.
• Assist with training client service employees to ensure competence.
• Implement safety and emergency procedures to ensure safe and continuous working conditions.
• Maintain good client relations to promote the professional image of Ampath.
• Maintain provider and route dictionaries.
• Perform departmental administrative tasks.
