Purpose of Position:

To perform routine and stat analyses of samples and maintain analysers / instruments in a Clinical Laboratory

Requirements:

HPCSA registration as Medical Technologist (Clinical Pathology) (Required), National Diploma in Medical Technology (Clinical Pathology) / BHs MLS (Degree in Bachelor of Health Science in Medical Laboratory Sciences) (Required)

Required Experience:

1-2 years working experience within a pathology environment

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain good client relations in order to promote the image of Ampath, Perform administration tasks in order to ensure effective administration systems in the laboratory, Perform Quality Control procedures in the laboratory in order to ensure best practices are upheld., Process routine bench work in laboratory in order to ensure efficient processing of specimens, Provide technical support within laboratory in order to ensure the efficient flow of specimens and timeous resulting of specimen, Train laboratory staff in order to ensure continuous development and education
