Job summary

A facilities management company in South Africa is looking for a qualified engineer to implement and maintain an effective maintenance system. Job description

To implement an effective maintenance system within customer facilities and ensure SLA delivery.

MAIN OUTPUTS
  1. Ensure building and equipment are maintained according to schedule; preventative or emergency fault rectification complies with legislation, SLA, and job plan.
  2. Prepare scope of work for mast and other infrastructure maintenance small works, as well as manage contractors.
  3. Identify maintenance risks on client’s equipment for evaluation and resolution.
  4. Participate in projects end-to-end as per requests from Project Managers.
  5. Review infrastructure and maintenance strategies.
  6. Facilitate inspections with appointed consultants and contractors.
  7. Ensure building and equipment maintenance complies with schedule, legislation, SLA, and job plan.
  8. Conduct investigations (RCA) and submit failure reports in the infrastructure discipline.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

The applicant must meet the following requirements:

  1. National Diploma/Degree in Engineering: Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related qualification.
  2. Matric (Senior Certificate).
  3. Valid SA Driver’s License.
  4. At least 3 years of relevant engineering experience in facilities maintenance, CRM, and property management.
  5. Knowledge of engineering maintenance, CRM, and property management.
  6. Understanding of OHS Act, ISO 9001 Quality Management, and Risk Management Systems.
