Job Title: Technician: IT & Desktop Support

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
- The Technician: IT & Desktop Support provides desktop support to all Landbank end-users.
- This involves resolving or escalating IT issues related to desktops, telephony, MS Teams, remote networking, VPN, network, printing, application support, and communications equipment.
- The movement of IT assets must be documented properly.
Identity & Access Management:
- Administer and maintain identity and access management across applications.
- Provide Help Desk support to users.
First Line Support:
- Perform first-line Help Desk support for application, data, network, security, telephony, MS Teams, remote networking, infrastructure, and telephony queries.
Walk-In Support:
- Provide first-line walk-in support for queries related to applications, data, networks, security, infrastructure, and telephony.
Key Performance Areas
- Support end users, troubleshoot issues, and perform PC maintenance.
- Handle calls logged via the service desk for desktops, telephones, networks, and printers.
- Escalate complex problems appropriately.
- Set up, configure, and install end-user equipment and applications.
- Manage customer expectations and build strong relationships with end users.
Performance Optimization
- Assist in identifying and documenting fixes for recurring problems.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend enhancements.
- Respond to calls on the HEAT Helpdesk System during peak periods.
Document Management
- Process requests according to procedures.
- File access requests and IT asset issue forms electronically.
- Record IT asset movements and communicate with the Asset Controller promptly.
Minimum Education and Experience
- Senior Certificate.
- Certificate in PC Maintenance.
- A+ and N+ Certificates.
- 1-3 years of experience in a formal IT environment.
- Microsoft 365 Fundamentals or Administrator certification.
Critical Competencies
- Support for Microsoft 365 applications like Teams, OneDrive, and Exchange Online.
- Troubleshooting, configuration, deployment of devices and software, resolving Microsoft 365 issues.
- Assisting users with remote access and collaboration tools.
Additional Requirements
- Knowledge of Business Environment.
