Purpose of Position:

To provide technical support, perform routine and stat analyses of samples within the Clinical Pathology laboratory environment.

Requirements:

National Diploma – Medical Technology (Preferably Clinical Pathology) (Required), Registered as Medical Technician (Chemical Pathology) with the HPCSA (Required)

Required Experience:

18 months experiential learning as a Learner Technician within a pathology environment (Clinical Pathology)

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain good client relations in order to promote the image of Ampath., Perform administration tasks in order to ensure effective administration systems in the laboratory., Process routine bench work in laboratory in order to ensure efficient processing of specimens., Provide technical support within laboratory in order to ensure the efficient flow of specimens and timeous resulting of specimen., Train laboratory staff in order to ensure continuous development and education.
