We are looking for a skilled Technician who will be responsible for providing software and hardware support at customer sites. This role focuses on the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Electronic Security and Safety Systems as well as Workforce Management Solutions, in accordance with contract agreements. The ideal candidate will ensure full compliance with SLA commitments, delivering high-quality service and support in line with client expectations and contractual obligations.
What you'll do :
- Medium to High Level Technical Support on systems, hardware and software (Onsite, Remote, Telephonic) - Customer Technical Liaison
- General Fault Finding Troubleshooting
- Infrastructure Fault Finding and Commissioning - Project Commissioning
- System Commissioning
- Technical Training (Customer Internal) - Technical sales lead development
- Support on all hardware/software installed on all sites and assist HLS with database issues (e.g., SQL Express)
- Ensure incident/ticket system is updated timely for proper tracking
- Maintain constant communication with customers regarding tickets or service issues
- Coordinate small installations, ensuring client requirements are met and deadlines are adhered to
- Schedule and perform hardware/software maintenance as per SLA and supplier requirements
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance documentation
- Complete general admin duties: timesheets, documentation, reporting, health and safety
- Provide customer, supplier, and technical assistant training
- Assist peers with technical advice, workload, or participation as needed
Your expertise :
- 5+ years of function-related experience; 2+ years leading teams
- 2+ years project experience
- Over 3 years of security software/hardware installation experience
- 5+ years in BES/SQUBE or SYNERION software/hardware implementation and commissioning
- Networking skills: TCP/IP, DHCP, Static VLAN (N+ beneficial)
- Electronic skills: Low Current Power, Relays
- Experience installing turnstiles, vehicle barriers, mantraps
- Certification and experience in CCTV and Access control solutions (e.g., Impro, Gallagher, Milestone, Axis, etc.)
- Fire certification and Building Management design experience (e.g., Tridium) are advantageous
- Experience servicing/installing HW/SW from NEXTEC SBT and other electronic security systems
- Access Control and CCTV skills
- Strong customer service understanding and software/hardware installation skills
Qualifications :
- Grade 12 or equivalent college diploma
- MCSE and/or N+ / A+ or N.DIP in Electronic/Electrical Engineering (advantageous)
- Access Control and/or Time and Attendance system certification
Additional skills :
- SQL language query experience/certification (advantageous)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint)
- PSIRA certification (Grade E-C)
