Job description

Role Summary

The main responsibility of the Technician is to perform high-quality repairs and maintenance. The Technician’s competencies, along with continuous improvement of technical knowledge and skills, combined with a commercial mindset, will ensure high performance and customer satisfaction. Satisfied customers, on-time delivery, and safety at work are achieved by following defined processes, standards, and guidelines. The Technician contributes to Scania’s profitability and safety on our roads.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Before Maintenance or Repair Event - Ensure that the right information, tools, and spare parts are available.
  2. During Maintenance or Repair Event - Perform maintenance or repair on time, correctly, and safely, following well-known and described working methods and standards.
  3. After Maintenance or Repair Event - Minimize lead time of invoicing through clear description of performed work and communicate any further actions if the work is handed over to a colleague.
Applicant Minimum Requirements
  • Matric certificate or N3 or equivalent.
  • Qualified Diesel Technician with Trade Test Certificate.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience (this is non-negotiable).
  • Previous workshop experience with repairing and maintaining heavy vehicles.
