Job description

Role Summary

The main responsibility of the Technician is to perform high-quality repairs and maintenance. The Technician’s competencies, along with continuous improvement of technical knowledge and skills, combined with a commercial mindset, will ensure high performance and customer satisfaction. Achieving satisfied customers, on-time delivery, and safety at work is accomplished by following defined processes, standards, and guidelines. The Technician contributes to Scania’s profitability and safety on our roads.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Before Maintenance or Repair Event - Ensure that the right information, tools, and spare parts are available.
  2. During Maintenance or Repair Event - Perform maintenance or repair on time, correctly, and safely using well-known and described working methods and standards.
  3. After Maintenance or Repair Event - Minimize lead time of invoicing by providing a clear description of the work performed and communicating what needs to be done if the work is handed over to a colleague.
Applicant Minimum Requirements
  • Matric certificate or N3 or equivalent.
  • Qualified Diesel Technician with Trade Test Certificate.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience (non-negotiable).
  • Previous workshop experience with repairing and maintaining heavy vehicles.
