Technician

We are currently on a search for an experienced Technician to join the largest manufacturer and distributor of major appliances in Southern Africa, to be based in Midrand, to successfully complete Customer Service callouts with an outcome of completion at the first time. Thereby upholding the Defy Brand image as viewed by the customer and retailer and execute timeously whilst prioritising call outs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create solutions and resolve repairs timeously.
• Achieve the monthly job completion quantity.
• Initiate, plan, and prioritize urgent calls.
• Action timely and accurately on customer queries and feedback.
• Provide customer updates on part stock availability and job status information.
• Ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
• Use formal and informal networks to achieve results through cross-functional teams.
• Communicate with the team regularly.
• Resolve priority calls from management as soon as possible.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Applicants must be Trade Tested artisans at minimum N3 certificate level or will have been deemed competent at Level 4 in Domestic Appliance Repair.
• Proven experience in troubleshooting and client liaison in the appliance industry.
• Electrical Wireman’s licence.
• Licensed Gas Appliance Installer.
• Driving Licence.
• Exposure to management principles is also a prerequisite.
• Preferably English and another language.
• Computer literacy.
• High customer satisfaction results.
• Efficient job completion (work with daily targets).
• Have a positive and good attitude.
• Mobile (work in the field).
