A leading security solutions provider in Gauteng is looking for a skilled technician to install and maintain access control systems. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, a PSIRA certification, and experience in client relationship management. Responsibilities include attending client meetings, managing documentation, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are essential for this role.
Installations, Commissioning and maintenance on Access control readers, gate motors, Booms and Turnstiles; Client Software and PC (Clock Engines) support; Regular communication and development of a good relationship with client; Attention to detail on all aspects of relevant responsibilities; Adhering to the Agreement between the client and the company; Adhering to Health and Safety Regulations; Feedback to Regional Manager; Problem Solving / Project Management; Management and Control of Documentation, including Registers, Overtime and Route Sheets; Submission of fault report on the system; Revision of Work In Progress reports and the financial implications thereof; Available to be on standby if and when required; Sober habits is required, as Alcohol testing is done for specific clients; Must be presentable for Client meetings.
Preferred qualifications / attributes / skills : Minimum grade 12 or equivalent qualification; PSIRA certification; Relevant experience in SQL would be advantageous; Sound knowledge and understanding of Access Control and any experience of Biometric readers would be beneficial; Excellent security equipment installation skills; Excellent troubleshooting and fault finding skills; A good working knowledge of MS Office; Excellent written & verbal communication skills; Proven track record in the Electronics Security Industry; Valid Drivers license; Own reliable vehicle Clean disciplinary, criminal and credit record;
