Job summary

A leading heavy vehicle manufacturer is seeking a qualified Technician to perform high-quality repairs and maintenance in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. The successful candidate will have a Matric certificate or equivalent, a Trade Test Certificate, and at least 3 years of experience. This role demands a strong technical knowledge and a commercial mindset to ensure high performance and customer satisfaction while following safety standards and defined processes.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in repairs and maintenance.
• Experience working in a workshop setting with heavy vehicles.
• Ability to follow defined processes, standards, and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Ensure right information, tools, and spare parts are available before maintenance events.
• Perform maintenance or repair on time, correctly, and safely.
• Minimize lead time of invoicing after maintenance.

Job Responsibilities

Before Maintenance or Repair Event

• Secure that right information, tools and spare parts are available

During Maintenance or Repair Event

• Through well-known and described working methods and standards perform maintenance or repair on time in a correct and safe way

After Maintenance or Repair Event

• Secure minimized lead time of invoicing.
• Through clear description of performed work and / or communicated what needs to be done if the work is handed over to a colleague

Qualifications

• Matric certificate or N3 or equivalent
• Qualified Diesel Technician with Trade Test Certificate
• Must have MINIMUM of 3 YEARS Experience NOT- NEGOTIABLE
• Previous workshop Experience with repairing and maintaining heavy vehicles
