The main responsibility of the Technician is to perform high-quality repairs and maintenance. The Technician’s competencies, along with continuous improvement of technical knowledge and skills and a commercial mindset, will ensure high performance and customer satisfaction. Satisfied customers, on-time delivery, and safety at work are achieved by following defined processes, standards, and guidelines. The Technician contributes to Scania’s profitability and safety on our roads.

Job Responsibilities

Before Maintenance or Repair Event - Ensure that the right information, tools, and spare parts are available.
During Maintenance or Repair Event - Perform maintenance or repair on time using well-known and described working methods and standards, in a correct and safe way.
After Maintenance or Repair Event - Minimize lead time for invoicing. Provide a clear description of the work performed and communicate what needs to be done if the work is handed over to a colleague.

Applicant must meet these minimum requirements:
  • Matric certificate or N3 or equivalent
  • Qualified Diesel Technician with Trade Test Certificate
  • Must have a MINIMUM of 3 YEARS experience (NOT NEGOTIABLE)
  • Previous workshop experience with repairing and maintaining heavy vehicles
