SUMMARY
Are you passionate about producing clear, accurate, and impactful documentation? We're looking for an individual with a strong command of writing, editing, and proofreading to support our growing global team.

Our client is looking to employ a Technical Writer.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the preparation and formatting of technical responses for RFPs, RFIs, and other public sector opportunities
  • Develop, update, and manage product documentation, including user guides, SOPs, installation manuals, and quick-start guides
  • Create clear, audience-specific content for the Glance SaaS platform and related hardware/software solutions
  • Work closely with subject matter experts to source, validate, and update technical materials
  • Maintain internal documentation and work instructions to support quality and training initiatives
  • Identify and address documentation gaps proactively
  • Manage version control and organize documentation using platforms like Google Drive and Dropbox
  • Ensure consistency in tone, format, branding, and terminology across all content
  • Use AI tools such as ChatGPT to assist with content creation and refinement
  • Collaborate with internal teams across multiple time zones to ensure accurate and updated documentation


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Matric / Grade 12 is essential
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, Civil Engineering) or equivalent technical experience
  • 3 years of experience as a Technical Writer, Proposal Writer, or similar role
  • Experience using Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and other documentation tools
  • Proven ability to simplify technical concepts for various audiences
  • Experience producing documentation for both hardware and software (including SaaS products)
