Job Purpose
The Technical Training Manager will play a pivotal role in designing, delivering, and managing training programs that support business-critical systems, technical skills, and compliance knowledge across the Client Services business unit within Glacier. This role will also lead the digital learning strategy, managing SCORM-compliant e-learning content and platforms to deliver a high-impact, modern learning experience.
Key outcomes
The following outcomes will be expected to be achieved by Technical Training Manager:
Training Strategy & Implementation
- Design and deliver functional and technical training for key business units including Operations, Communication Centre, Investment Administration and Finance.
- Develop training for life & investment products, policy & investment administration systems, client servicing platforms, workflow administration systems, reconciliation tool and digital tools.
- Conduct training needs analysis aligned to product launches, system changes, regulatory updates, and business goals.
E-Learning & LMS Management
- Manage and administer the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring efficient course deployment, tracking, and reporting.
- Design and develop engaging SCORM-compliant e-learning modules using tools such as Articulate 360 (Rise, Storyline).
- Ensure all digital learning meets accessibility standards and compliance requirements.
- Monitor learning performance and use analytics to drive engagement and continual improvement.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
- Partner with business SMEs, Compliance, Product, and IT to create relevant and timely training content.
- Serve as the point of contact for functional and system training needs during product launches and transformation initiatives and projects.
- Collaborate with internal and external training vendors or instructional designers when needed.

Regulatory & Compliance Training
- Deliver mandatory compliance training aligned with relevant financial services regulations.
- Maintain accurate records and reporting for audits and regulatory reviews.
Team Management
- Actively be responsible for the coaching, training and development of facilitators, developers, and curators.
- Ensures Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Areas are continually reviewed and expectations are met with optimum levels of quality and service delivery.
- Work closely with the Quality team to ensure the most effective development and learning is achieved.
Qualifications And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Finance, or related field.
- Recognised L&D or instructional design certification.
- SCORM authoring certification (preferred).
- 5+ years in training management or learning design within a life & investment, wealth management, or financial services environment.
- Demonstrated experience delivering functional/technical training for complex financial systems or platforms.
- Proven track record in developing SCORM-compliant e-learning content and managing LMS platforms (e.g. Moodle, SuccessFactors).
- Understanding of life insurance and investment product structures (e.g., unit-linked products, pensions, annuities, investments).
- Experience with change management and supporting technology or system rollouts.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies or experience working in cross-functional transformation teams.
