Hyundai Automotive South Africa Pty Ltd is looking for a Technical Trainer at the Motus Training Academy based in Pinetown.

Role Overview

The Training Officer will facilitate learning according to predetermined frameworks, focusing on both theoretical and practical automotive training.

Responsibilities
  1. Training and Development
  • Conduct automotive trade theory training.
  • Facilitate learning using interactive methodologies, demonstrations, and media platforms like CDX.
  • Implement assessments to determine competence and ensure alignment with learning outcomes.
  • Maintain discipline and foster a respectful learning environment.
  • Work overtime when necessary, with reasonable notice, and respond promptly to emergencies.
  • Automotive Practical Training
    • Adhere to occupational health and safety regulations.
    • Facilitate and support practical learning sessions, ensuring ample practical engagement under supervision.
    • Use various assessments to evaluate reflexive competence and align practical training with theoretical assessments.
    • Maintain discipline and respect during practical sessions.
  • Administration of Training
    • Complete training registers daily.
    • Sign assessments, reports, and activities weekly.
    • Maintain and submit learner files regularly.
    • Prepare learners for trade tests following standard procedures.
    Qualifications and Experience
    • Grade 12 or equivalent NTC trade qualification.
    • Qualified Automotive Artisan.
    • Diesel trade qualification is an advantage.
    • Preferably accredited facilitator, assessor, and moderator.
    • Minimum 5 years of ETDP experience.
