Job Description

To create, debug, verify, maintain and update technical test scripts to run automated testing.

Responsible for testing the functionality of a system designed to address business requirements to prevent errors/defects in the live system through the implementation of change control and improvement.

  1. Deliver against operational and cost targets
  2. Prioritise resource allocation to minimise and reduce wastage
  3. Monitor costs for the financial year according to the operational plan
  4. Allocate and approve expenditure
  5. Review cost reports and resolve or explain variances to the budget
  6. Identify, control and escalate potential risks that may lead to increased costs
  7. Manage costs or expenses within approved budget to achieve cost efficiencies
  8. Ensure full understanding of customer needs to deliver a quality service
  9. Ensure customer service solutions are aligned to the business operational plan, organisational values, and service standards
  10. Communicate how customer service solutions will be implemented and secure buy-in
  11. Ensure product knowledge and advice is technically accurate and provide customers with relevant information to keep them informed of products and service options
  12. Ensure resolution of customer queries and complaints timeously and take ownership of issues
  13. Analyse customer feedback to help improve customer service
  14. Propose ideas to improve customer service
  15. Deliver customer experience excellence aligned to organisational values and service standards
  16. Build professional long-term relationships with customers based on trust that builds the brand
  17. Collect and interrogate information and feedback to ensure full understanding of customer needs to deliver a quality service
  18. Deliver service that exceeds customer expectations through proactive, innovative and appropriate solution selection and application
  19. Ensure compliance with relevant statutory, legislative, policy and governance requirements in area of accountability
  20. Ensure implementation of relevant policies, governance and practice standards across the business
  21. Maintain knowledge on relevant legislative amendments, industry best practices and internal compliance procedures and requirements
  22. Ensure compliance is adopted in terms of systems and procedures as laid out by the organisation and review in response to audit findings and changes
  23. Develop an understanding of risks and risk management approaches
  24. Implement and provide input into the development of governance and compliance procedures and processes within area of specialisation and identify risks
  25. Educate others and make suggestions for improvements
  26. Network and participate in specialist risk forums where required
  27. Implement, monitor and control business processes according to quality standards, policy, and compliance and governance requirements in area of accountability
  28. Ensure the development, alignment, mapping and implementation of end-to-end processes aligned to the customer journey map
  29. Research, enable and consult on improvements and opportunities to harness technology and platform enablement
  30. Review existing processes and suggest innovative ideas to improve and streamline processes to drive efficiencies and minimise redundancy
  31. Monitor customer feedback reports and align processes to maximise efficiencies
  32. Provide input into the development of the business area tactical strategy in achievement of the overall business strategy
  33. Develop and implement an area operational plan in achievement of business objectives
  34. Assess own performance against competencies and skills required for delivery
  35. Identify development needs and select effective solutions to address own development needs
  36. Prepare a personal development plan with management to implement and review as required
  37. Monitor own progress against development plan and measure impact of results
  38. Participate and contribute to a development culture where information regarding successes, issues, trends and ideas are actively shared
  39. Build and sustain collaborative working relationships with relevant peers and stakeholders to achieve productivity synergies
  40. Participate in specialist communities of practice and contribute positively to own and organisational knowledge improvement
