In this role, you'll troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems, guide users through solutions, and ensure every interaction results in a satisfied customer.
Your ability to simplify complex issues, remain calm under pressure, and provide top-tier support makes you a vital part of our IT success.
What You'll Do
- Provide excellent customer interaction.
- Ensure accurate and timely communication with clients regarding logged incidents.
- Collaborate well with colleagues, be a team player, and assist where needed.
- Adhere to all correspondence and documentation standards.
- Follow instructions, including customer Working Instructions (WI) or management directives.
- Perform daily tasks to ensure reliability, availability, and serviceability with minimal client disruption.
Your Expertise
- Proficiency in English, including email communication.
- Excellent customer interaction and communication skills.
- Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model.
- Knowledge of networking protocols and standards (e.g., link aggregation, spanning tree).
- Troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with wireless radio networks, maintenance, and establishing new links (multiple brands).
- Data centre infrastructure design and build experience.
- Knowledge of UPS batteries and power systems.
- Ability to work at heights.
- Fibre splicing and testing experience (minimum 4 years).
Qualifications Required
- National Senior Certificate/Matric/N3/Grade 12.
- Pass recruitment checks (reference, criminal, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
- Fibre certification.
- Working at heights certification.
- Medical certificate.
