Technical Store Man

Do you have strong technical skills combined with knowledge and experience in managing a maintenance storeroom?

We are looking for an experienced Storeman with manufacturing experience.

POSITION INFO:

Qualifications:

1. Matric Certificate is compulsory.
2. N4 in Engineering / Supply Chain / Commercial is essential.
3. A valid Forklift License will be an added advantage.

Job Requirements:

1. 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment; exposure to the maintenance department will be an added advantage.
2. Must be computer literate.
3. Must be able to carry 20kg and drive a forklift.
4. Have high attention to detail.

Your key responsibilities will be:

1. Receiving and issuing materials ordered by the purchasing department as per the laid down procedure.
2. Ensure proper stocking of materials by using appropriate methods of care and preservation to avoid any damage and loss.
3. Ensure staging of spares for planned maintenance.
4. Carry out periodic stock verification and ensure correctness of stock at all times.
5. Ensure that bills of materials received from vendors are processed by the Accounts department.
6. Generate reports and submit them to relevant authorities.
7. Manage repairable items tracker and liaise with repair workshops.
8. Follow all safety working procedures and report all accidents and safety hazards to the Supervisor / safety representative immediately.
