Overview

Our client is looking for a Technical Spraybooth Supervisor for a leading manufacturing company in Philippi, Western Cape.

The position requires hands-on spraybooth operation, team supervision, and strong technical ability in a fast-paced production environment.

Location: Philippi, Western Cape – onsite, full time

Requirements
  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • 3–5 years’ experience as a Spraybooth Technician, Technical Supervisor, or similar manufacturing/production role
  • PLC knowledge and general computer skills (training on specific machines provided)
  • Strong mechanical/technical capabilities
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is advantageous
  • Ability to work at a fast pace and adapt quickly
  • Own reliable transport
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate, start, and stop spraybooth machinery using levers, buttons, dials, and switches
  • Monitor and adjust paint flow, viscosity, and coating quality using visual inspections or viscometers
  • Attach hoses/nozzles, regulate air pressure, conveyor speeds, and spray flow for optimal coverage
  • Inspect gauges and equipment to detect defects or deviations and make corrections
  • Prepare and spray surfaces with primers, decorative, or finish coatings
  • Identify and correct flaws such as blisters or streaks during painting operations
  • Disassemble, clean, and reassemble spray equipment using appropriate solvents and tools
  • Dispose of hazardous waste safely and in compliance with regulations
