Job summary

Twenty Degrees in South Africa seeks a Technical Software Lead to provide architectural vision for Mventech Group products. You will lead a small team and drive the product roadmap across Stellenbosch/Johannesburg, shaping technical strategy and enabling automation.

You will mentor engineers, own the architectural roadmap, and collaborate with product managers to deliver scalable, high-quality client software using Laravel, PHP, MySQL, and modern tooling.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ years of leading and mentoring product teams.
• Experience scaling products/platforms.
• Proficiency in Laravel 11, PHP 8.3, MySQL 8, Vue.js 3.
• Experience with GitHub, Azure, Notion.

Responsibilities

• Manage health, resilience, stability and operational performance of the product's technology components.
• Coach and mentor the product team and resolve impediments.
• Define target state architecture and technical roadmap, manage debt.
• Realise the product's objectives and key results on the roadmap.
• Inspire teams to build services and technologies for the Mventech Group.
