We are seeking to appoint a Technical Services Specialist who will coordinate internal and external technical projects while serving as the critical link between MCC Sales and customers in technical/manufacturing efforts.

The Role

In this exciting and varied role, you will:

1. Lead and coordinate technical projects focused on the implementation of innovative and sustainable label packaging solutions across multiple market segments.
2. Initiate and coordinate projects with material suppliers to achieve development of innovative and sustainable label solutions.
3. Establish trial and evaluation protocols in collaboration with Quality and Operations and follow through the entire manufacturing process.
4. Champion new ideas for innovative packaging solutions and qualify/implement with Customers.
5. Foster relationships with key labeler OEMs to keep abreast of new technologies.
6. Identify market need for specific sustainable solutions and drive qualification process.
7. Troubleshoot internal and external product and process related problems to identify root cause and implement preventative measures.

The Person

To succeed in this role you must have:

1. Working experience across a wide range of segments in the FMCG sector.
2. Qualification in Packaging/Printing or Engineering related studies.
3. 5 - 8 years' experience in a Technical Support role within Labels/Flexible Printing industry. Technical Printing and material/substrate knowledge, and label application will be advantageous.
4. Industry background and/or strong understanding of packaging substrates and printing methods.
5. In-depth technical knowledge of the machinery and technology in a printing environment.
6. Assertive communicator with a keen sense of follow-up/follow-through.
7. Proven ability to lead/coordinate multiple projects across teams and manage competing priorities.
8. Minimum 3 years' experience analyzing technical manufacturing issues and implementing solutions.
9. Knowledge of process control analysis and reporting.
10. Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite to include intermediate ability with Excel and PowerPoint.
11. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
12. Ability to relay technical information to non-technical industry colleagues both internal and external to the organization.
13. Vigilant in the protection of MCC intellectual property.
14. Ability to travel domestic and international when required.
