The Technical Service Representative position involves providing technical support for roofing to the sales team both on-site and in the office.
Typical Competencies Required :
- Good understanding of fireproofing, construction industry, and heavy-duty coatings.
- Self-confident and persistent.
- Technical background with quality control experience.
- Good communication skills.
- Computer literate.
- Basic report writing skills.
- Willing and able to travel throughout Sub-Saharan Africa when required.
- Must have a valid passport.
Performance Areas
Technical Support to Sales
- Support for Sales Representatives and their clients.
- Ensure product specifications are met through site inspections and sample panels.
- Provide technical assistance, training, and demonstrations to clients.
- Offer technical advice via site visits or telephonically.
- Provide sample packs and on-site sample panels as required.
- Assist with product development and evaluation.
- Conduct investigative work and follow up on customer complaints.
Administration
- Maintain accurate records for each project.
- Submit timely and accurate call reports and technical reports.
- Keep detailed reference reports on major projects or those with warranties.
Compliance and Safety
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Wear PPE at all times and comply with safety protocols on-site.
- Use and store company equipment safely, taking responsibility for tools and equipment issued.
