Job description

Supporting the Technical Manager by running the day-to-day operations of the Specialised Application Chemicals laboratory.

Required outputs: functional

Responsibilities:

1. Technical Support: Provide technical support to Operations and Technical Sales Reps.
2. Production Support: Assist operations (production and QC) in calculating and adjusting products during production.
3. Investigations: Investigate production non-conformances and customer complaints.
4. Sample Analysis: Analyze and report on routine customer samples. Willingness to travel is required.
5. Chemical Analysis: Support manufacturing through chemical analysis.
6. Method Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and verify analytical methods and results.
7. Non-routine Samples: Analyze non-routine samples.
8. Method Development: Search, develop, and optimize analytical test methods and equipment procedures for better efficiency, precision, and accuracy.
9. Product Development: Assist in developing new products and optimizing existing formulations.
10. Reformulation and Disposal: Reformulate work-aways or dispose of redundant, slow-moving, or rejected stock.
11. Laboratory Operations: Manage daily laboratory activities including calibrations, housekeeping, and sample organization.
