Job description

Our client is seeking a Technical Scrum Master to lead and develop a team of data engineers and analysts responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data solutions. This role combines Scrum Master and Technical Lead responsibilities to ensure Agile practices are followed while mentoring a high-performing technical team.

Responsibilities

1. Lead and develop a team focused on data solutions, including analysis, design, engineering, implementation, monitoring, and maintenance.
2. Oversee Scrum processes and facilitate Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, and Sprint Review.
3. Identify and resolve blockers impacting team progress.
4. Collaborate with developers, Product Owners, and stakeholders to align on priorities.
5. Implement and optimize delivery processes for excellence and continuous improvement.
6. Mentor technical teams, resolve conflicts, and support professional growth.
7. Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
8. Translate business and IT requirements into implementable solutions, ensuring operational continuity.
9. Assess risks and adhere to SDLC and change/release management processes.
10. Design data solutions and oversee architecture specifications within governance standards.
11. Analyze problems, identify trends, and propose optimal solutions.
12. Manage technical support requests, ensuring resolution within SLAs.
13. Participate in communities of practice to enhance organizational knowledge.
14. Lead team performance development and foster a culture of innovation and efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

1. IT Degree or Diploma (Completed).
2. At least 3 years of BI/Data Development experience focusing on data pipelines and ETL processes.
3. Minimum 2 years of experience leading technical teams.
4. Strong knowledge of architecture, design principles, and data governance.
5. Industry experience in Property, Financial Services, or Auto sectors is advantageous.
6. Experience with Spatial Data is advantageous.

Technical Skills

1. Proficiency in MS SQL, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL.
2. Knowledge of Python and C# is advantageous.
3. Understanding of IT Security, AI, Intelligent Automation, and Cloud technologies is advantageous.
